ABSTRACT
Resumen
Introducción: la promoción de conductos saludables se refiere al comportamiento mediante el cual los individuos mantienen, protegen y promueven su propio estado de salud.
Objetivo: describir las acciones de promoción de conductas saludables que la enfermera de salud comunitaria realizó para certificar a una comunidad rural como comunidad saludable.
Desarrollo: la enfermera de salud comunitaria con la participación comunitaria implementa las acciones promoción de la salud. Convoca y capacita a los agentes de salud, quienes a su vez capacitan a los proveedores de salud. Los cambios se evidenciaron con la reducción del número de consultas por infecciones respiratorias y diarreicas y por el aumento en el número de mujeres que acudieron a la detección oportuna de cáncer cervical y de mama.
Conclusiones: se debe reconocer el liderazgo de la enfermera de salud comunitaria, porque su objeto de estudio es el cuidado de la comunidad como una totalidad en su conjunto y de las partes de que se constituye (individuo y familia). Su acción fundamental es empoderar la capacidad comunitaria para el cuidado y el bienestar común, a través de la promoción de la salud con y para la gente.
Abstract
Introduction: The promotion of healthy behaviors refers to the behavior by which individuals maintain, protect and promote their own state of health.
Objective: To describe the actions of promotion of healthy behaviors that the community health nurse carried out to certify a rural community as a "healthy community."
Development: With the participation of the community, the community health nurse implements health promotion activities. She also convenes and trains health agents, who, in turn, train health providers. Changes were clearly demonstrated by the reduction in the number of visits due to respiratory and gastrointestinal infections and by the increase in the number of women who attended the timely detection of cervical and breast cancer.
Conclusions: It should be recognized the leadership of the community health nurse, since providing care to the whole community and to each one of the parts that constitute it (individual and family) is her object of study. Her fundamental action is to empower community capacity for common care and well-being, through the promotion of health with and for people.
